My name is Mandy and I love, seriously love, travel planning.  I’m excited to tell you all about this endeavor to help make planning and organizing travel easy and enjoyable. Read on to learn more about the Plan to Explore story, my travels and why I started this blog.  I’ve planned a few vacations in my time, and I’ve learned some things about myself. Give me a travel guide and I’ll read it front to back in a day. Flight trackers? Love them. Vlogs about travel? I watch them constantly. In other words, I’m obsessed with travel planning, researching, and new destinations. I’ve put in the time to learn, in order to help you.  For some people, there is a specific time and a place when you realize how truly amazing travel is and can’t get enough. This happened to me on my Honeymoon to Italy. We had espresso, tasted wine, ate gelato and visited some major historical sites. I was hooked.  On the plane ride back, I turned to my Husband Brandon and said, “How soon can we go back to Europe?!?!”  Since our Honeymoon to Italy, we’ve traveled to 5 more countries, as well as various places across the United States. We were able to do this all while holding down full time, demanding jobs. Check out some of our travel pictures from our trips below.  Our travels slowed down once our son was born, and we continued to work full time  and just do the daily grind. If anyone else is a Mom out there, you know the struggle is real to feel like your own person while doing all the things for a small child or two (or three!).  I kept getting a feeling in my stomach and a whisper in my head that something was missing, and that there was more out there for me. I needed to tie myself back to travel, even if I couldn’t travel as frequently anymore.  If I can live my passion by helping others, by giving you the permission (yes you can travel too!), tools and inspiration to plan that next trip, I feel like that is something important. I want to help make travel easy for you!  I just can’t seem to stay away from travel for long, the desire and draw runs deep. We all have something that lights us up inside, don’t you think? Travel may not be that thing for you, but since it is for me, I want to share.  Writing a blog may not replace my strong desire to travel, but it does give me an outlet to help people like you, and to me that’s special and fulfilling.  I hope you enjoyed learning a little bit more about the Plan to Explore story.
